\nIn der BLACK BOX + CARL ORFF SAAL kann man dieses Jahr gro\u00dfe Formationen h\u00f6ren, wie sie unterschiedlicher kaum sein k\u00f6nnen. Bands die ihre Kl\u00e4nge aus v\u00f6llig unterschiedlichen Quellen speisen und doch alle in der Tradition der gro\u00dfen Jazzorchester und Big Bands liegen. Joe Haider wei\u00df mit seinem Jazz-Orchester und dem Kaleidoskop String Quartet exemplarisch davon zu berichten. Jiggs Whigham ist der Solist des U.M.P.A. Jazz Orchestra.
\nBeim 16-k\u00f6pfigen Verworner-Krause-Kammerorchester (VKKO) von Christopher Verworner und Claas Krause treffen symphonische Weite auf resolute, elektronische Rhythmen. Urban-melancholische Songs mit filmmusikalischen Harmonien wechseln sich mit modernistischen Klangfl\u00e4chen ab.
