Im Vergleich zu seinem letzten, eher konventionell wirkenden M\u00fcnchner Konzert 2011, war der Maestro diesen Sommer wie ausgewechselt, ein Mister 10.000 Volt: Er riss \u201esein\u201c Publikum, das alle Hits aus dem Stand mitsingen konnte, sofern der Maestro ihm den Einsatz dazu gab, v\u00f6llig hin- und mit.<\/p>\n<p>Jarreau redete viel, aber wie: Aus Ansagen wurden Wortgedichte, Scat-Gesang oder gar vokale Instrumentals. Jarreaus Dankesworte an die Veranstalterin Innegrit Volkhardt f\u00fcr die langj\u00e4hrige erprobte Zusammenarbeit, oder sentimentale Altersr\u00fcckblicke wurden durch Jarreaus permanente Wortakrobatik zu einem einzigen, quasi durchkomponierten St\u00fcck, in dem Musik, Ansage, Gesang und zeitgem\u00e4\u00dfe Arrangements seiner alten Hits nahtlos ineinander \u00fcbergingen. Al Jarreau 2015 im Festsaal der Bayerischen Hofs, das war keine Nummernoper, sondern ein Gesamtkunstwerk. Eine sehr pers\u00f6nliche Hommage an den verstorbenen Keyboarder George Duke verband der Vokalartist ganz piet\u00e4tlos mit Werbung in eigener Sache: &#8222;My Old Friend: Celebrating George Duke&#8220; hei\u00dft sein aktuelles Album, das er mit Dr. John, Marcus Miller, Dianne Reeves u.a. eingespielt hat. Kunstvoll die Dave Brubeck\/Paul Desmond\u2013Live-Reminiszenzen mit \u201eTake Five\u201c oder \u201eBlue Rondo a la Tuerk\u201c im 9\/8-Takt. Von \u201eWe&#8217;re in this love together\u201d bis zu \u201eSo good\u201d brachte Jarreau vor allem Eigenes auf die B\u00fchne.<\/p>\n<p>Doch der Jazz-Sommer 2015 setzte nicht nur auf das Bew\u00e4hrte, Sch\u00f6ne und Gute. Es gab auch Neues. Was der franz\u00f6sische Klangmagier Guillaume Perret mit seinen Elektrischen Erz\u00e4hlungen in Flugzeugmotorenlautst\u00e4rke bot, war neu, originell und \u00fcberw\u00e4ltigend.
