Der hat ja bald einen runden Geburtstag. Ich erinnerte mich an eine Sendereihe von Peter R\u00fcedi aus den fr\u00fchen 80er Jahren beim NDR, als der noch so etwas wie einen Kulturkanal hatte, der simpel NDR 3 hie\u00df. R\u00fcedi hatte in elf Folgen die musikalische Geschichte von Jarrett aufgezeichnet bis \u201eNude Ants\u201c mit dem verhei\u00dfungsvollen Untertitel \u201eDie Geometrie der Inspiration\u201c. Das kam alles aufs eigene Magnetband und verschwand beim letzten Umzug leider. Das sei nur erw\u00e4hnt, weil jetzt ja <a title=\"Wolfgang Sandner: Keith Jarrett. Eine Biographie.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jazzzeitung.de\/cms\/2015\/03\/wolfgang-sander-keith-jarrett-eine-biographie\/\">Wolfgang Sandner eine Biographie aufgelegt<\/a> hat, die ganz gut gehypt wird. R\u00fcedi war damals jedenfalls dicht dran und das Medium Rundfunk eine sch\u00f6ne Sache.<\/p>\n<p>Aber so bin ich bei Jarrett auf Facebook gelandet und sah mit konfrontiert damit, dass der ja \u00fcber 90.000 Fans hat. Wow! Nach Fanwerdung per Klick wurden einem weitere m\u00f6gliche potentielle Jazzmusiker angezeigt, deren Fan man werden k\u00f6nne. Chick Corea zum Beispiel. Dass dieser dann weit \u00fcber 300.000 Fans hatte machte mich stutzig und so suchte ich nach dem Facebook-Jazz-Star \u2013 erst unter Pianisten, dann auch bei den \u00fcblichen Verd\u00e4chtigen. Aber auch Evans vor Davis, Monk vor Parker, Hancock als Pianist weit oben. Ornette Coleman mit 54.000 Fans habe ich gleich ganz weggelassen. Ich finde das schon eingerma\u00dfen erstaunlich. Aber es ist nat\u00fcrlich in keiner Weise repr\u00e4sentativ.
