Seit 2004 einen weiteren: Das Jazzfestival S\u00fcdtirol Alto Adige. In diesem Jahr hatte der praktische Arzt, Bergsteiger und Gitarrenmusik- und Jazz-Liebhaber Klaus Widmann das S\u00fcdtirol Jazzfestival von Gr\u00fcnder Nicola Ciardi \u00fcbernommen und machte es \u00fcber die Jahre zu dem, was es heute ist: Ein Magnet f\u00fcr Jazzmusiker aus Italien, Deutschland, Gro\u00dfbritannien, Belgien und den skandinavischen L\u00e4ndern, kurz gesagt aus ganz Europa und dar\u00fcber hinaus. Will man neue Trends und neue Namen kennenlernen, dann ist man hier richtig.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Das Festival 2023 er\u00f6ffneten konsequenterweise junge Namen aus Spanien, Deutschland, \u00d6sterreich, Italien und Korea: etwa Juan Saiz mit einer recht konventionellen Quartettbesetzung, aber geh\u00f6rig Groove. Das S\u00fcdtirol Jazzfestival hat hier weiterhin unkonventionelle und immer wieder \u00fcberraschende L\u00f6sungen anzubieten: Etwa eine dreit\u00e4gige Bergtour in den Dolomiten mit einem \u00f6sterreichischen Trio um den Trompeter Lorenz Raab, ein Konzert mitten im Nadelwald von Jenesien auf 1.000 Meter mit dem Trio La Litanie des Cimes (Titelfoto mit Clemant Janinet, Geige\/Clement Petit, Cello\/Elodie Pasquier, Klarinette) oder eine mitrei\u00dfende Stummfilmmusik im Keller eines alten Bozener Waaghauses mit Francesco Diodati und Alexander Yannilos. Dieses Konzept musikalischer Spazierg\u00e4nge ist nicht auf billigen Effekt ausgelegt, sondern bringt die Musik je nach akustischer Gegebenheit auf besondere Art und Weise zum Klingen und je nach Location auf ungewohnten Wegen zu den Menschen. Im Idealfall bewirkt dieser Verpflanzungseffekt, dass einen Musik pl\u00f6tzlich st\u00e4rker ber\u00fchrt, einen direkter angeht als im gewohnten Konzertformat. Foto: Susanne van Loon <\/div> <\/div> <\/div> <!-- close group --> <\/div> <!-- close row --> <\/div>\n<p>Trotz Corona und aktuellen Kostenexplosionen in der Eventbranche ist in S\u00fcdtirol noch alles da, was ein Jazzfestival braucht: eine gute kulturpolitische Vernetzung, treue Sponsoren und nat\u00fcrlich eine kreative, planende Leitung in Nachfolge von Klaus Widmann, der nach fast zwei Jahrzehnten Platz machte f\u00fcr Stefan Festini Cucco, Roberto Tubaro und Max von Pretz. Die drei stehen in Experimentierfreudigkeit Widmann in keiner Weise nach und so erlebte man am Er\u00f6ffnungswochenende Konzerte zwischen ernsthaftem Bem\u00fchen, spr\u00fchender Originalit\u00e4t und absoluter Exzellenz. Musik als k\u00fcnstlerisches Wagnis, das geh\u00f6rt nach wie vor zum Markenkern des S\u00fcdtiroler Festivals. Die Musik der weit \u00fcber 100 Musikerinnen und Musiker ist Vielfalt pur und wie in den vergangenen Jahren auch, keine aus zweiter Hand. Seit 2004 einen weiteren: Das Jazzfestival S\u00fcdtirol Alto Adige. In diesem Jahr hatte der praktische Arzt, Bergsteiger und Gitarrenmusik- und Jazz-Liebhaber Klaus Widmann das S\u00fcdtirol Jazzfestival von Gr\u00fcnder Nicola Ciardi \u00fcbernommen und machte es \u00fcber die Jahre zu dem, was es heute ist: Ein Magnet f\u00fcr Jazzmusiker aus Italien, Deutschland, Gro\u00dfbritannien, Belgien und den skandinavischen L\u00e4ndern, kurz gesagt aus ganz Europa und dar\u00fcber hinaus. Will man neue Trends und neue Namen kennenlernen, dann ist man hier richtig. Das Festival 2023 er\u00f6ffneten konsequenterweise junge Namen aus Spanien, Deutschland, \u00d6sterreich, Italien und Korea: etwa Juan Saiz mit einer recht konventionellen Quartettbesetzung, aber geh\u00f6rig Groove. Oder die Berliner Mit-Anf\u00fchrerin des Subcultural Collective \u201eSubwater Beats\u201c, alias Kid Be Kid, als charismatische Alleinunterhalterin, die sich auf waghalsige NeoSoul-, Beatboxing- und Klavier-Improvisationen mit der franz\u00f6sischen S\u00e4ngerin Leila Martial einlie\u00df, die wiederum mit ihrem Trio\u00a0 Oliphantre nach Bozen angereist war. Ein Festival braucht einen Ort, um zu wirken. Musik braucht einen Raum, um zu klingen.
