Allen voran wohl die Europapremiere des Trios Shalosh mit Daniel Zamir, dem virtuosen Rabbi des Jewish Jazz. Und in Begleitung von koscherem Wein und Humus wird Shauli Einav am Saxophon sein neues Quintett vorstellen. Star der Runde ist aber zweifellos Mandolinen-Zampano Avi Avital, der mit dem Pianisten Omer Klein ein singul\u00e4res Duo zwischen Klassik und Jazz abgeben wird.<\/p>\n<p>Unter den Highlights des neunten Festivals neuer Zeitrechnung findet sich aber auch ein Exklusivkonzert mit der japanischen Pianistin Aki Takase und ihrem Trio Tama oder das franz\u00f6sische Duo Christophe Monniot &amp; Didier Ithursarry mit einer virtuosen Hymne an die Liebe. Und mit dem Gespann Tolgahan \u00c7ogulu &amp; Sinan Ayyildiz aus Istanbul wird es auf Schloss Seggau sogar orientalisch mikrotonalen Jazz geben.<\/p>\n<p>Dazwischen werden US-Cellist Erik Friedlander und Sentinel eine schrille kontempor\u00e4re Garagenband abgeben und der Zirkus Bizarr der Berliner Band Unbedingt mit fesselndem Kammergroovejazz nichts anbrennen lassen. Nun stehen die Konzerttermine der Preistr\u00e4ger fest. Die Bassistin Julia Hornung, der Pianist Sam Hylton und die S\u00e4ngerin Alma Naidu werden im Oktober in Leipzig und in M\u00fcnchen live zu sehen sein. Oktober 2021<\/h2>\n<div class=\"wysiwyg mt-4\">\n<p>Das Jazz &amp; The City Festival in der Salzburger Altstadt ist seit \u00fcber 20 Jahren ein allj\u00e4hrlicher Treffpunkt der internationalen Jazzszene. In den letzten Jahren hat es sich zu einem urbanen Projekt entwickelt, das auch angrenzenden Genres wie Medienkunst, Hip Hop und Performances R\u00e4ume bietet. Gut 150 MusikerInnen und PerformerInnen sind eingeladen, an den Festivaltagen die verschiedenen Veranstaltungsorte und eine Outdoor-B\u00fchne am Residenzplatz bespielen. Es werden zudem auch \u201eZwischenr\u00e4ume\u201c der Stadt, wie Leerst\u00e4nde oder andere unbekannte Winkel und Nischen, erobert. Streetdance- und HipHop-Workshops, ein Jazzkindergarten, Kindertheater sowie Backstage-Touren sollen auch j\u00fcngere Generationen ansprechen.<\/p>\n<p>Neben bew\u00e4hrten wurden auch neue Formate entwickelt, die einen flexiblen Umgang mit den sich \u00e4ndernden Planungsvoraussetzungen erlauben. Ein Format &#8211; die Blind Date Konzerte &#8211; hat bereits in der Vergangenheit viele Fans gewonnen. Bei diesen Performances wei\u00df das Publikum nicht, welche K\u00fcnstlerInnen auftreten werden und selbst die MusikerInnen wissen nicht, mit wem sie spielen. Ein weiteres Beispiel ist das Konzept der offenen H\u00e4user, auch K\u00fcnstler-WGs genannt.
