Zusammen mit Bassist Larry Grenadier und Schlagzeuger Jeff Ballard entfaltet er im kooperativen Trio Fly seine ganze eindrucksvolle Spannbreite \u2013 von filigran bis zupackend. Das Trio Fly gr\u00fcndete sich 2004. Alle drei Musiker tragen gleichberechtigt St\u00fccke zum Repertoire bei. Schlagzeuger Jeff Ballard und Bassist Larry Grenadier waren bis dahin vor allem als begehrte Sidemen aktiv, u.a. bei den Pianisten Chick Corea und Brad Mehldau. Oktober wurde im Einigungsvertrag 1990 als Tag der Deutschen Einheit zum Feiertag in bestimmt. 30 Jahre sp\u00e4ter lassen wir anl\u00e4sslich dieses Feiertags zur deutschen Wiedervereinigung ein Konzert von Peter Herbolzheimers Rhythm Combination &amp; Brass aufleben, das der WDR im Jahr 1990 in der K\u00f6lner Philharmonie aufgezeichnet hat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Peter Herbolzheimer hat unter anderem mit der Gr\u00fcndung des Bundesjazzorchesters 1988 deutsche Jazzgeschichte geschrieben, das Nachwuchsspitzenensemble genie\u00dft noch heute internationale Aufmerksamkeit. Der in Rum\u00e4nien geborene Posaunist Peter Herbolzheimer war aber schon vorher ein renommierter Big Band Leader, der mit seiner Rhythm Combination &amp; Brass neue Ma\u00dfst\u00e4be f\u00fcr Big Bands setzte. In den fr\u00fchen Jahren stand die Big Band f\u00fcr einen ausgepr\u00e4gten Jazzrock. Am 28.
