Mit dem renommierten Pianisten Pablo Held verbindet ihn eine lange Bekanntschaft. Im Deutschlandfunk Kammermusiksaal aber spielten die beiden erstmals im Duo zusammen. Loren Stillman sorgte schon als Teenager f\u00fcr Aufsehen: Mit 16 gewann er mehrere Preise und ver\u00f6ffentlichte seine Deb\u00fctplatte. Zusammenarbeiten mit Gr\u00f6\u00dfen wie John Abercrombie und Charlie Haden festigten seinen exzellenten Ruf. Als er 2019 nach K\u00f6ln zog, hatte er urspr\u00fcnglich nur ein Auslandsjahr im Sinn. Inzwischen sieht er sich l\u00e4ngerfristig am Rhein und war bis vor den Corona-Beschr\u00e4nkungen aktiver Teil der dortigen Jazzszene. Mit dem K\u00f6lner Meisterpianisten Pablo Held hatte er mehrfach zusammengespielt \u2013 aber noch nie im Du o. Ihre kammermusikalischen Ausleuchtungen eigener Kompositionen funkelten vor W\u00e4rme und Ideenreichtum.
