Musik mit breiter Klangpalette, aber ohne allen Bombast: Mit ihren gro\u00dfen Ensembles gelingt es Rebecca Trescher, fast schon sinfonische Texturen zu kreieren und gleichzeitig die Intimit\u00e4t und Flexibilit\u00e4t einer kleinen Jazzcombo zu bewahren. Bereits w\u00e4hrend ihres Studiums an der Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik in N\u00fcrnberg stellte Rebecca Trescher ihr Ensemble 11 zusammen. Der Gro\u00dfformation geh\u00f6rten sowohl Musiker mit klassischem Hintergrund als auch solche mit klarer Jazzausrichtung an. Zwischen diesen beiden Polen bewegen sich auch Treschers Kompositionen. Erg\u00e4nzt werden sie durch Elemente aus Rock und Pop: Detailliert ausgearbeitete Strukturen und ein hohes Ma\u00df an Sensibilit\u00e4t f\u00fcr Melodie und Tongebung treffen in Treschers Musik auf Groove und spannende Improvisationen. Im Rahmen einer eigenen Konzertreihe in N\u00fcrnberg hatte Rebecca Trescher \u00fcber einen Zeitraum von mehreren Monaten Gelegenheit, die vielen Nuancen dieser Besetzung auszuloten und auch interdisziplin\u00e4r zu arbeiten. So entstanden eine Stummfilmmusikproduktion und Kooperationen mit K\u00fcnstlerinnen aus Tanz, Malerei, Literatur und Videoperformance. Uneitel, aber stets mit einer feinen Prise australischen Humors, begibt sie sich im Quartett Spoiler auf \u201eklanglich-kristallisierte Mikro-Abenteuer\u201c, das hei\u00dft auf die Spurensuche nach den innersten Bindungen der Sounds. Moderation und Auswahl: Beate Sampson<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Mit 20 verbl\u00fcffte er mit der Tonf\u00fclle und Eloquenz eines Charlie Parker. Und weil sein Bebop so besonders entfesselt war, attestierte ihm die Kritik eine Gem\u00fctslage \u201ezwischen Genie und Wahnsinn\u201c. Seitdem hat der 1982 geborene Wanja Slavin eindeutig den Weg der gr\u00f6\u00dftm\u00f6glichen k\u00fcnstlerischen Aussagekraft eingeschlagen. Nach der Aufl\u00f6sung seiner international erfolgreichen Band \u201eHipnosis\u201c ging der geb\u00fcrtige M\u00fcnchner nach Berlin, arbeitete dort unter anderem mit Christian Lillinger, Marc Schmolling und mit Joachim K\u00fchn zusammen, und gr\u00fcndete die Band \u201eLotus Eaters\u201c, die er 2009 bei \u201eB\u00fchne frei im Studio 2\u201c vorstellte, und die nun in neuer Besetzung zum zweiten Mal in der Konzertreihe auftritt.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Im Gegensatz zu ihren Namensgebern aus der griechischen Mythologie, den Lotophagen, ist nicht Lethargie, sondern Energie die Sache der Lotus Eaters, wenn sie ihren eigenen, relevanten Beitrag zur Fortf\u00fchrung der Jazzgeschichte leisten. Wanja Slavin versteckt sich dabei nicht hinter Floskeln, bew\u00e4hrten Formen oder Konzepten. Er sammelt seine Inspiration in vielen Stilen und sucht seinen ureigenen Umgang damit. Dabei geht es ihm nicht um Intellektualit\u00e4t, sondern um ein Gef\u00fchl und die spirituelle Ebene der Musik.
