Denn: <strong>Man kann nicht h\u00f6ren<\/strong>, das Jazzfest ist nicht anh\u00f6rbar. What?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Die Idee<\/strong> der Festivalleiterin <strong>Nadin Deventer<\/strong> klingt auf den ersten Blick ganz gut. Im Festspielhaus wurde die B\u00fchne abgesenkt auf ebenerdig. Man hat hinter der B\u00fchne (Trib\u00fcne B) und links (Trib\u00fcne A) davon neue Sitzpl\u00e4tze in Form von Trib\u00fcnen eingerichtet. Die ersten neun Stuhlreihen im Parkett sind Matrazen gewichen. Links und rechts an der Seite sind Bildschirme angebracht. Irgendwie alles in der Absicht, das Publikum n\u00e4her an den Ort des Geschehens zu bringen. Lieb gedacht.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Das Ergebnis<\/strong>: der Gro\u00dfteil des Publikums im Parkett sitzt weiter weg, die Musikerinnen auf der B\u00fchne spielen ggf. pl\u00f6tzlich in Richtung Trib\u00fcne A, zur Seite also wie das Australian Art Orchestra oder dicht aufeinanderhockend geknubbelt linkerhand wie Christian Lillinger\u2019s \u201eOpen Form for Society\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>Sitzt man hinter der B\u00fchne hat man, wenn man Pech hat den aufgeklappten Fl\u00fcgel-Fl\u00fcgel vor der Nase, den Ohren und der Linse, der dann auch noch Deckenstrahler gelegentlich unsanft ins Gesicht reflektiert. Okay, Pech gehabt.<\/p>\n<p>Aber man sitzt dicht dran, wenn man hinter der B\u00fchne einen Platz hat wie der Kritiker dieser Eintr\u00e4ge. F\u00fcr die Fotografinnen, jetzt in Reihe 10, wird die Distanz ebenso unangenehm (trotzdem gelang unserer Chefinfotografin in der vertrackten Situation noch erstaunliches). Das sind aber nur optische Probleme.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fatal ist die Lage vor allem akustisch.<\/strong> Das Auge h\u00f6rt mit, was es nicht sieht, h\u00f6rt sich schwerer, oder anders. Der Kritiker ist entsetzt: <strong>\u201eHaben die das vorher akustisch nicht ausgetestet?\u201c<\/strong> So ein Saal mit seiner B\u00fchne ist ja eigentlich akustisch anders programmiert. Hat man nur vergessen f\u00fcr das Monitorboxen bereitzustellen, wie sie die Musikerinnen auf der B\u00fchne haben? Oder hat man das Publikum als Opfer konstruiert, damit es f\u00fcr die Live-Streams von ARTE in Concert bestens abdrehbar ist?<\/p>\n<p>Hier ein <strong>Eindruck vom Australian Art Orchestra<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-21126-1\" preload=\"auto\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jazzzeitung.de\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/2019_jazzfestBerlin01_aao.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jazzzeitung.de\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/2019_jazzfestBerlin01_aao.mp3\">https:\/\/www.jazzzeitung.de\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/2019_jazzfestBerlin01_aao.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>Geil, was?<\/p>\n<p>Und bei <strong>Christian Lillinger\u2019s \u201eOpen Form for Society\u201c<\/strong> klingt es so:<\/p>\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-21126-2\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jazzzeitung.de\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/2019_jazzfestBerlin01_lillinger.mp3?_=2\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jazzzeitung.de\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/2019_jazzfestBerlin01_lillinger.mp3\">https:\/\/www.jazzzeitung.de\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/2019_jazzfestBerlin01_lillinger.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>So differenziert will man es aber gar nicht haben. Okay, ein Phantomscherz. Was soll das? Es ist akustisch einfach eine Katastrophe. So bekommt man gar nicht wirklich mit, was im <strong>Auftritt von Christian Lillinger\u2019s \u201eOpen Form for Society\u201c<\/strong> tats\u00e4chlich abgeht. Wie soll man das dann noch besprechen. Man ahnt, was diese komplex verknubbelte Musik sein k\u00f6nnte. Eine \u00fcberaus fein gesponnene Musik, bei der man in Part 1 fast ein bisschen Soul sp\u00fcren kann, bei der man aber eigentlich ein wundersch\u00f6nes Klangfarbenspiel in gerupften rhythmischen Konstellationen erahnen kann. Und was bekommt man? Das Ergebnis: der Gro\u00dfteil des Publikums im Parkett sitzt weiter weg, die Musikerinnen auf der B\u00fchne spielen ggf. pl\u00f6tzlich in Richtung Trib\u00fcne A, zur Seite also wie das Australian Art Orchestra oder dicht aufeinanderhockend geknubbelt linkerhand wie Christian Lillinger\u2019s \u201eOpen Form for Society\u201c. Sitzt man hinter der B\u00fchne hat man, wenn man Pech hat den aufgeklappten Fl\u00fcgel-Fl\u00fcgel vor der Nase, den Ohren und der Linse, der dann auch noch Deckenstrahler gelegentlich unsanft ins Gesicht reflektiert.
