Im Zentrum des Jubil\u00e4ums steht allerdings das zusammengestellte Ensemble \u201eJazz Animals\u201c um den Saxophonisten \u00c9mile Parisien: Theo Croker (Trompete), Glenn Ferris (Posaune), Yaron Herman (Piano), Joe Martin (Bass) und Gerald Cleaver (Drums). Als Special Guest kommt der Saxophonist Benny Golson noch als Unterst\u00fctzung hinzu. Golson ist bereits 90 Jahre alt und war als Musiker in der goldenen \u00c4ra von Blue Note Records aktiv dabei. Der Name \u201eJazz Animals\u201c ist eine Reminiszenz an Alfred Lion und Francis Wolff, die die Vorbilder all der oben Genannten waren.
