+++ 35. Jazz Festival W\u00fcrzburg 2019 +++<\/strong><\/p>\n

Auch in diesem Jahr beginnt der W\u00fcrzburger Herbst mit einem Jazzfestival der Jazzinitiative W\u00fcrzburg am 26. und 27. Oktober 2019 im W\u00fcrzburger Felix-Fechenbach-Haus.\u00a0 An zwei Abenden der 35. Ausgabe von \u201eJazz made in Germany\u201c, werden insgesamt sechs Bands auftretet. Der Headliner des Festivals ist die zehnk\u00f6pfige „Jazzkantine“ mit der Mischung aus Jazz, Funk und Rap. Der Jazztrompeter Rainer Winterschladen steht mit seinen „Nighthawks“ auf der B\u00fchne und das Minimal Techno Jazz Piano Trio um Leo Betzl, der mit der Jazzrausch Big Band schon im vergangenen Jahr aufgetrete ist, zeigt Club-Sounds mit Kontrabass, Piano und Schlagzeug. Im Kontrast dazu wird Wolfgang Lackerschmid am Vibraphon zusammen mit seiner international besetzten Connection andere und weichere Harmonien erzeugen. Echte Newcomer dieses Jahr: „Axis“, die mit ihrem Hendrix-Projekt gerade den Jazzwettbewerb der W\u00fcrzburger Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik gewonnen haben. Auch Lel\u00e9ka um die S\u00e4ngerin Viktoria Anton, wie das Betzl Trio Sieger bei der Internationalen Jazzwoche Burghausen, gastiert erstmals in der Region. Neuer Schirmherr dieses Festivals ist Achim K\u00f6nneke, Kulturreferent der Stadt W\u00fcrzburg.<\/p>\n

+++ Gary Smulyan mit seinem „New Encounter“-Quintet in Weiden +++<\/strong><\/p>\n

Der Baritonsaxophonist Gary Smulyan<\/a> trifft, ganz unter dem Einfluss von Pepper Adams und seiner klassischen Aufnahme „Encounter“ mit Zoot Sims, Tommy Flanagan, Ron Carter und Elvin Jones, auf den Tenorsaxophonisten Ralph Moore.<\/p>\n

Auf dieser Tournee werden die beiden\u00a0 Saxophonisten von dem Pariser Pianisten Olivier Hutman begleitet. Der schweizer Bassist Stephan Kurmann, der bereits Jazz-Legenden wie Chet Baker, Wild Bill Davison und Mal Waldron begleitet hat, ist der vierte im Bunde. Der \u00f6sterreichische Schlagzeuger Bernd Reiter, der Preistr\u00e4ger beim Hans Koller Preis und dem \u00f6sterreichischen Jazzpreis im Jahre 2006 war und mittlerweile in Paris lebt, vervollst\u00e4ndigt die Runde.<\/p>\n

Dieses zusammengestellte Quintett pr\u00e4sentiert nun am Mittwoch den 02. Oktober 2019<\/a> im „Bistrot Paris“ in Weiden ihr aktuelles Programm.<\/p>\n

+++ multiphonics Festival K\u00f6ln 2019 +++<\/strong><\/p>\n

Das diesj\u00e4hgrige multiphonics Festival 2019 zeigt sein Programm<\/a> vom 29. September bis 16. Oktober in K\u00f6ln. Als Artist in Residence ist dieses Mal der Bassklarinettist Joris Roelofs, der das Festival in unterschieldichen Formationen, Projekten und Workshops begleiten wird. Neben Konzerten mit Paul Heller und der NLJ Bigband tritt er auch mit einem besonderen, selbst arrangierten St\u00fccken zusammen mit der „Hausband“ Multiphonics7 und Anette Maye auf.<\/p>\n

Am 12. und 13. Oktober werden verschiedene Workshops f\u00fcr beispielsweise Improvisation oder kulturelle St\u00fccke aus verschiedenen Regionen angeboten, f\u00fcr die man sich im vorhinein anmelden<\/a> kann.<\/p>\n

+++ Internationales Jazzfestival EBE-JAZZ 2019 in Ebersberg +++<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kurz vor dem internationalen Jazzfestival EBE-JAZZ 19 im Oktober, findet\u00a0 am 26. September noch einmal Jazz im Turm statt. Neben der Statthalle Grafing er\u00f6ffnet um 20 Uhr die S\u00e4ngerin und Pianistin Alexandra Fischer mit ihrem Crossover die Jam Session. Einsteiger sind herzlich wilkommen.<\/p>\n

Zur Er\u00f6ffnung des Festivals wird dann am 10. Oktober im Rahmen der Ausstellung „45 Jahre Jazz in Grafing“ der Film „G\u00fcnther Klatt – Maler und Musiker“ im Museum der Stadt Grafing gezeigt, dessen Protagonist die Jazzszene der 70er- und 80er-Jahren in Grafing selbst pr\u00e4gte. Der Headliner des Festivals ist die zehnk\u00f6pfige „Jazzkantine“ mit der Mischung aus Jazz, Funk und Rap. Der Jazztrompeter Rainer Winterschladen steht mit seinen „Nighthawks“ auf der B\u00fchne und das Minimal Techno Jazz Piano Trio um Leo Betzl, der mit der Jazzrausch Big Band schon im vergangenen Jahr aufgetrete ist, zeigt Club-Sounds mit Kontrabass, Piano und Schlagzeug. Im Kontrast dazu wird Wolfgang Lackerschmid am Vibraphon zusammen mit seiner international besetzten Connection andere und weichere Harmonien erzeugen.
