\n<\/strong>Das Festival \u201eJazz Sommer im Bayerischen Hof<\/a>\u201c gilt als offizieller Nachfolger des M\u00fcnchner Klaviersommers, der bis Ende der 90er Jahre Weltstars wie Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, Keith Jarrett, Stan Getz, Wynton Marsalis, aber auch Klassik-Stars wie Svjatoslav Richter, Jewgenij Kissin, Martha Argerich, Ivo Pogorelich in der Philharmonie und anderen Hallen der Hochkultur in M\u00fcnchen pr\u00e4stentierte. Auch diesen Sommer bietet das 2007 vom Hotel Bayerischer Hof gegr\u00fcndete Festival vom 23. \u2013 28. Juli ein erlesenes und abwechslungsreiches Musik-Programm im Festsaal und Night Club.<\/p>\n

Das Festival wird am 23.7. von der\u00a0britische Soul-Jazz-Band Incognito<\/a> er\u00f6ffnet. Im Anschluss daran spielt Nik West<\/a> mit ihrer Band im Night Club coolen Funk. Die Blues-Legende Lucky Peterson<\/a> tritt am 24.7. mit seiner Band The Organisation feat. Tamara Tramell<\/a> auf. Am 25.7. pr\u00e4sentiert der Gitarrist Bill Frisell<\/a> neu arrangierte Filmmusikklassiker aus seinem Projekt \u201eWhen You Wish Upon A Star\u201c. Die zweite Festivalh\u00e4lfte ist dominiert von CD-Vorstellungen ebenfalls internationaler Musiker: The Queen of Afro Groove Manou Gallo<\/a> (Titelbild) pr\u00e4sentiert ihre neue CD, welche sie mit Bootsy Collins aufgenommen hat, Basslegende Stanley Clarke<\/a> seine neue CD \u201eThe Message\u201c. Den Abschluss bildet der Mehrfach-Grammy-Gewinner Jo\u00e3o Bosco<\/a> am 28.7. mit der CD-Pr\u00e4sentation \u201eMano Que Zuera\u201c.<\/p>\n

Abseits der B\u00fchnen werden zwei weitere Highlights pr\u00e4sentiert: die Ausstellung \u201cAm Jazz \u2013 Three Generations under the Lens\u201d von Adriana Mateo<\/a> im Atrium und Musikfilme im Premiumkino astor@CINEMA LOUNGE. Au\u00dfderdem findet zum 9. Mal im Vorfeld des Jazzsommers im Bayerischen Hof ein Konzert der Band der M\u00fcnchner Musikkritiker statt. Das Konzert unter der musikalischen Leitung von Wolfgang Schmid wird Musiker die M\u00f6glichkeit gegeben sich als Musikjournalist zu bet\u00e4tigen. Das Motto lautet: Musikkritiker spielen, Musiker bewerten. Ausz\u00fcge aus den Konzertkritiken, welche am Abend vor Ort eingesammelt werden, werden sp\u00e4ter auf www.jazzzeitung.de ver\u00f6ffentlicht.<\/p>\n
