Das glamour\u00f6se Highlight am Ende eines zweiw\u00f6chigen Partnerlandprogramms mit Kunst, Literatur, Theater und Gespr\u00e4chen war das Galakonzert in der Glocke mit Anna Maria Jopek, Leszek Mo\u017cd\u017cer und dem Maciej Obara Quartet. F\u00fcr Jazzzeitung.de hat sich unsere Fotografin Susanne van Loon mit schwerem Besteck auf die &#8222;Ochsentour&#8220; durch die Showcases &#8222;Polish Night&#8220; und &#8222;European Night&#8220; gemacht. Diese lange Jazz-Tradition Polens lebt in einer vitalen und eigenst\u00e4ndigen Szene bis heute weiter.<\/p>\n<p>\u00dcberzeugende Statements f\u00fcr den polnischen Jazz als zeitgen\u00f6ssische Kunst lieferten im Rahmen der Showcase-Konzerte zwei junge Pianisten ab:\u00a0 Kamil Piotrowicz\u00a0 mit seinem im Sextett und Piotr Orzechowski mit seinem High Definition Quartet. Und sie wurde nicht nur mit tollen Fotoimpressionen, sondern auch mit fantastischer Musik belohnt. 1918, vor genau 100 Jahren, wurde der polnische Staat gegr\u00fcndet. Sp\u00e4testens seit einem halben Jahrhundert gilt Polen als Jazz-Land und man spricht nicht von ungef\u00e4hr auch heute noch vom &#8222;Polski Jazz&#8220;, der als charakteristischer, eigenst\u00e4ndiger Stil gilt. Neben Krzysztof Komeda, dem 1969 im Alter von 38 Jahren verstorbenen Pianisten und Komponisten, geh\u00f6rte zum Kreis der Jazz-Innovatoren auch der Pianist Andrzej Trzaskowski, der sich Mitte der 60er-Jahre mit seinem Quintett mit Tomasz Sta\u0144ko, Janusz Muniak, Jacek Ostaszewski und Adam Jedrzejowski dem Free Jazz \u00f6ffnete. In den 1990er Jahren entstand mit dem \u201eYass\u201c erneut ein genuin polnisches Jazz-Ph\u00e4nomen.
