Die 49. Ausgabe der Internationalen Jazzwoche in Burghausen findet heuer vom 6. bis 11. M\u00e4rz statt. Das Vorprogramm f\u00fcr den Auftritt der New Yorker Jazzrock-Band \u201eBlood, Sweat & Tears\u201c in der Wackerhalle am 7. M\u00e4rz wird am Tag davor beim Finale des 10. Europ\u00e4ischen Burghauser Nachwuchs-Jazzpreises ermittelt. Die Erstplatzierten des Wettbewerbs erhalten also nicht nur ein Preisgeld von 5.000 Euro, sondern er\u00f6ffnen auch am Mittwochabend die Jazzwoche. Am Donnerstag tritt neben dem israelischen Avishai Cohen Trio auch Trompeter Charles Tolliver auf, der in Begleitung des Claus Raible Orchestras eine reinszinierte Version von Thelonious Monks Town Hall Concert aus dem Jahr 1959 zum Besten gibt.<\/p>\n

Bluesfans kommen am Samstag, den 10. M\u00e4rz bei den Shows von Nikki Hill und Danny Bryant auf ihre Kosten.
