Im Rahmen des 25. internationalen Jazzsommers Augsburg gastierte das Joshua Redman Quartet im Musikpavillon des botanischen Garten. An einem herrlich lauen Sommerabend pr\u00e4sentierte das Quartett um den Tenorsaxophonisten Redman gemeinsam mit Ron Miles an der Trompete, dem Bassisten Scott Colley und dem Schlagzeuger Brian Blade ein neues, ganz besonderes Projekt: \u201eStill Dreaming\u201c.<\/p>\n

Und es war in der Tat mehr nur als ein musikalisches Tribute zur Formation \u201eOld And New Dreams\u201c, dem Jazz Avantgarde-Quartett, mit dem Joshuas Vater Dewey Redman, gemeinsam mit Don Cherry, Charlie Haden und Ed Blackwell in den siebziger- und achtziger Jahren musikalisch f\u00fcr Furore sorgte. Frisch und ohne All\u00fcren zelebrierte Redman mit seiner Gruppe sprichw\u00f6rtlich \u201eOld And New Dreams\u201c als Verbeugung vor dem grandiosen Quartett. Nicht nur im Geist lebt das Quartett nun weiter!<\/p>\n
