Preistr\u00e4gerin des diesj\u00e4hrigen IB.SH-JazzAward ist die Altsaxophonistin, Fl\u00f6tistin und Komponistin Anna-Lena Schnabel. Der von der Investitionsbank Schleswig-Holstein (IB.SH) gestiftete Geldpreis in H\u00f6he von 3.000 Euro wird im Rahmen von JazzBaltica 2017 verliehen. Seit 2008 wird der IB.SH-JazzAward als Auszeichnung an junge, aufstrebende Jazzmusiker vergeben.<\/h4>\n

Mit der Vergabe des IB.SH-JazzAward an junge norddeutsche Jazzmusiker legt die IB.SH den Fokus auf das Talent dieser K\u00fcnstlerinnen und K\u00fcnstler und m\u00f6chte sie einer breiteren \u00d6ffentlichkeit vorstellen.<\/p>\n

\u00bbDie IB.SH-JazzAward-Preistr\u00e4gerin 2017 Anna-Lena Schnabel ist mit ihren 27 Jahren bereits eine beeindruckend reife musikalische Pers\u00f6nlichkeit. Mit ihrem Spiel auf Altsaxophon und Fl\u00f6te begeistert sie ihr Publikum. Gleichwertig ist sie auch als Komponistin auf der B\u00fchne zu erleben. Mit ihrem Mut zur Improvisation und Spontanit\u00e4t verbindet sie m\u00fchelos die Jazztradition mit der Moderne\u00ab, erkl\u00e4rt Dr. Michael Adamska, Vorstand der IB.SH.<\/p>\n

Die f\u00fcnfk\u00f6pfige Jury, bestehend aus Angela Ballhorn (Jazzthetik), Stefan Gerdes (NDR), Nils Landgren (K\u00fcnstlerischer Leiter JazzBaltica), Arvid Maltzahn (Landesmusikrat Schleswig-Holstein e.V.) und Dr. Michael Adamska (Vorstand der IB.SH), freut sich, dass mit dem Preis auch 2017 eine besonders talentierte junge K\u00fcnstlerin ausgezeichnet werden kann. Nachdem in den vergangenen F\u00f6rderjahren die Preise an die Formationen Fresh Back und Me And My Boom Box sowie an die Saxophonistin Tini Thomsen und die Bassistin Lisa-Rebecca Wulff vergeben wurden, ist auch 2017 wieder eine Einzelk\u00fcnstlerin in den Fokus der Jury ger\u00fcckt.<\/p>\n

Anna-Lena Schnabel hat ihr Studium an der Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik und Theater Hamburg absolviert. Sie war mehrfach Preistr\u00e4gerin bei Jugend Jazzt und erhielt mehrere Preise und Stipendien, die ihr unter anderem erm\u00f6glichten, an der New York Collective School zu studieren. 2016 war ein besonders erfolgreiches Jahr der Saxophonistin. Ihre erste CD unter eigenem Namen, \u00bbBooks, Bottles & Bamboo\u00ab, erschien beim renommierten Label Enja. Richard Williams, der k\u00fcnstlerische Leiter des Berliner Jazzfestes lud die Saxophonistin zu einem hoch gelobten Gastauftritt mit der Band von Julia H\u00fclsmann ein. Anna-Lena Schnabel spielte im Bundesjugendjazzorchester (\u00bbBujazzo\u00ab) und trat bereits mit den Hamburger Symphonikern als Solistin auf. Neben Festivalauftritten bei JazzBaltica, dem Elbjazz Festival und dem Berliner Jazzfest, ist sie regelm\u00e4\u00dfig auf Tournee. So war sie schon in China, Australien, Russland, T\u00fcrkei, Ungarn, Senegal und Guinea-Bissau zu h\u00f6ren.<\/p>\n

Anna-Lena Schnabel schreibt und spielt sehr eigene und ehrliche Musik. Mit ihrer eigenst\u00e4ndigen Sprache am Instrument wie auch als Komponistin geht die K\u00fcnstlerin einen kompromisslosen Weg, den der IB.SH-JazzAward unterst\u00fctzen m\u00f6chte.<\/p>\n

Bei der JazzBaltica 2017 wird Anna-Lena Schnabel<\/strong> am Freitag,<\/strong> 23. Juni um 23.00 Uhr<\/strong> im Jazzcaf\u00e9 der Evers-Werft zusammen mit Florian Weber (Klavier, Melodica), Giorgi Kiknadze (Bass) und Bj\u00f6rn L\u00fccker (Schlagzeug) auftreten.<\/p>\n
