Das Abschlusswochenende der Jazzahead begann mit kulturpolitischen Diskussionen: Musiker und Musikerinnen sprachen \u00fcber das Thema Gleichberechtigung im Jazz, Vertreter von Goethe-Institut, Initiative Musik und dem neugegr\u00fcndeten Musikfond e.V. stellten ihre F\u00f6rderprogramme vor. In Conference-S\u00e4len und bei den Ausstellern herrschte reges Treiben. Sobald aber die Showcase-Konzerte<\/a> begannen, gab es f\u00fcr das Messepublikum – bestehend aus Bookern, Agenten, Label-Chefs, Musikerkollegen sowie vielen interessierten Jazz-Liebhabern – kein Halten mehr: Um einen Platz\u00a0 in einem der Showcasekonzerte zu bekommen, musste man sich sputen.<\/p>\n

Die Showcase-Reihe „European Jazz Meeting“ bot 2017 eine Mischung aus guter Unterhaltung und Konzerten auf Weltniveau – hier muss beispielhaft beispielhaft das Projekt „A Novel of Anomaly“ von Schaerer, Biondini, Kalima und Niggli genant werden. Die vier verbanden K\u00f6nnen, Konzept und Improvisationslust auf einmalige Art und Weise.<\/p>\n

Meisterhaft Konzertantes gab es auf der „German Jazz Expo“, etwa mit dem Lorenz Kellhuber Trio, dem umjubelten Auftritt von Trio Elf, dem Eva Klesse Quartett, Niels Kleins „Tubes & Wires“ oder dem Trio von Julia H\u00fclsmann.<\/p>\n

Au\u00dferhalb der Messehallen konnte man am Samstagabend an mindestens 40 Orten in Bremen Jazzmusik erleben. Die Programmpalette reichte von Trompeter Ack van Rooyen, Gitarrist Dominic Miller oder Pianist Django Bates bis hin zur Kammermusik des Tarkovsky Quartetts, das in der legend\u00e4ren Akustik des\u00a0 Bremer Sendesaals zu h\u00f6ren war. Tanzbaren Jazz – etwa von Robert Hurst oder bei einer Brazilian Jazz Jam – gab es im Swissotel aber auch anderswo bis in den fr\u00fchen Morgen.<\/p>\n
